Have you ever felt like you were less important than your partner's cell phone? “You Don’t Know” explores today’s relationship dynamics, where love is driven by algorithms.

GW Childs narrates romance in present times with a little help from his friends John Fryer (Depeche Mode/NIN/Yazoo) and Rodney Orpheus (The Cassandra Complex). Synthwave with Disco falsetto, bouncing bass and a country twang are the canvas for the age-old question “Don’t you know me?”

The Weeknd meets The Eagles - Electro Country

In addition to two new tracks, GW Childs really wanted to show off what his peer group could do with the 'Rodeo Dance Music' aesthetic he started with John Fryer in 'Tarrant County'.

Fellow Texans DJ Joe Virus, and Josh Pyle (Aphorism) return home with sick glitch and EBM mixes that will heal and move you.

Long-time friends Rodney Orpheus and Ashes Fallen bring new looks at Tarrant with new performances and a dance mix that takes Tarrant in a totally new direction. Ashes Fallen actually performs along with Childs in an entirely new performance that brings the Goth Rock aesthetic of Ashes Fallen to the forefront and makes you see the South in a whole new light.

"A lot of love went into 'Tarrant County', 'You Don't Know' and 'Infinitely You'! I am so proud to finally get to share this with you and hope you'll love the country future as much as I do."

about

‘You Don’t Know’ from G.W. Childs IV (Star Wars: Battlefront, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords) is the new single, showcasing Childs future spin on synth pop/ hybrid music and opens the door for friends and fellow artists to explore the unique landscape of Country music and synth pop co-created by Childs and John Fryer (Love and Rockets, This Mortal Coil, NIN), with Tarrant County. Think the Eagles, plus Bee-Gees mixed with the Weeknd, and you’ll get a good idea.

New tracks ‘You Don’t Know’ takes things into new, modern directions. Showcasing Childs sound design, and blooming falsetto. Focusing on modern relationships in the digital age, ‘You Don’t Know’ tugs at the heartstrings as relationships get lost in the digital age. ‘Infinitely You’ takes you back to a gentler era in the disco nights, where love and light ruled the dance floor and explosive harmonies coax the listener into a dreamy dance.

G.W. Childs initial release of Tarrant County with John Fryer caused an awakening to the possibilities of synth-pop with a Southern, Country twist. Peter McConnell’s (Psychonauts 2, Grim Fandango) and amazing banjo playing and guitar work, mixed with Childs’ digital arpeggiations and pulsing beats opened a doorway into a unique world that is a genre, in unto itself- Fryer, himself, dubbed ‘Rodeo Dance Music’.

Now, with friends and peers in electronic music Childs has opened up the door for new interpretations of electronic music and classic, country instrumentation to a timeless track curated and produced so carefully by John Fryer.

Ashes Fallen performs a completely new, goth-rock rendition of the song complete with driving guitars, and gorgeous backing vocals, around killer acoustic beats that takes Tarrant into a totally different world. Fellow Texan DJ Joe Virus remixes a classic, 80s-esque industrial dance remix that digitally destroys the banjo and leaves you wanting more. Josh Pyle (Aphorism) reimagines the ‘Tarrant County’ song as a moving, orchestral anthem populated by thoughtful piano and amazing electronic rhythms. Finally, one of the 80s synth gods, Rodney Orpheus (Cassandra Complex) returns with a powerfully balanced and gorgeous re-envisioning of Tarrant where thoughtful rhythms and Orpheus's amazing ear sculpt a dance remix that will make you sway and dream as you move across the dance floor.

Releasing on all major digital platforms and Bandcamp, Tarrant County-Perspectives shows off electronic music in a very new, and unique way.
